In Kazakhstan, freight transportation along the Middle Corridor is expected to increase by one and a half times, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
In 2023, over 2.7 million tons of cargo were transported on the Trans-Caspian international transport route, which is 1.25 million tons or 86% more than the previous year.
The projected freight transportation plan for the Trans-Caspian route in 2024 is around 4 million tons, representing a 1.3 million ton or 48% increase compared to 2023.
