US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has announced the US government’s decision to allocate $1.3 billion to Ukraine for the repair of the energy system and the development of infrastructure, according to the Railway Supply journal citing Rail.insider.

During his speech at the Ukraine Reform Conference in London, Antony Blinken stated that the US will provide an additional $1.3 billion to Ukraine.

Half of this amount, $657 million, will be directed towards the restoration and development of vital infrastructure in Ukraine, such as railways, ports, and border crossings.

An additional $520 million is allocated for the restoration of energy facilities that have been damaged due to shelling from Russia.

Furthermore, the US will allocate $100 million to Ukraine for digitizing customs systems to expedite operations and reduce human error.

It is worth noting that the World Bank previously announced the allocation of $25 million to Ukraine for the repair of critical infrastructure.
