The President of Kazakhstan promises to build 1,300 kilometers of railways by 2027

Kazakhstan is set to lay down 1,300 kilometers of new railway tracks in the next three years, as announced by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the “One Belt, One Road” forum in Beijing, this is reported by the railway transport news portal, Railway Supply.
He also mentioned plans for the opening of a third railway border crossing with China and the construction of new dry ports in Bakhty and Kalzhat.
“The current situation sees approximately 85% of all overland transit shipments from China to Europe passing through Kazakhstan,” stated the head of state.
