Eventually, Agra’s metro will have two lines totaling 29.4 km and 29 stations.
According to the contract signed in July 2020 with Bombardier (later acquired by Alstom), the city will receive 28 three-car Movia trains and CBTC systems.
The first train was delivered a year ago. The stainless steel-bodied rolling stock was developed at Alstom’s engineering center in Hyderabad and manufactured at the Savli plant.
These trains can carry up to 974 passengers and reach speeds of up to 80 km/h.
They are equipped with Flexx bogies and Mitrac traction control systems, providing increased energy efficiency and reduced operational costs.
