In Canada, the commercial operation of the Alstom Coradia iLint hydrogen train was successfully completed, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

This two-car train ran on a tourist route spanning 80 km from mid-June to the end of September.

During this period, the train covered nearly 10.7 thousand km and transported over 10,000 passengers.

The use of hydrogen fuel allowed for a savings of 8.4 liters of diesel fuel and prevented the emission of 22 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.

The final report for Canadian authorities will be ready in early 2024. Canada has not yet placed an order for this type of train.

On the other hand, in the United States, trials of the Stadler FLIRT H2 hydrogen train began in September on test tracks in Pueblo.

The plan is to put this train into operation next year, as ordered by the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA).

They expect the delivery of four more trains of this type.
