Alstom is exiting the shareholders of Transmashholding (TMH)

TMH CEO Kirill Lipa informed Interfax about this development, stating, “Alstom is leaving us because we ended up on the SDN list.”, according to the Railway Supplyportal, citing the ROLLINGSTOCK.
TMH was included in the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) SDN List in September. He did not provide further details.
Restoration of Ukraine’s railway infrastructure
As of the end of the first half of 2023, Alstom held a 20% stake in TMH.
The French manufacturer announced the suspension of its operations in Russia in March 2022. In May of the same year, in its annual financial results announcement, Alstom noted that it had accounted for the devaluation of its stake in TMH as a non-monetary loss amounting to €411 million.
One of the main rolling stock projects under the strategic partnership in place since 2008 was the dual-system passenger electric locomotive EP20.
