The agreement on railway transit of potash fertilizers produced by Belorusskali OJSC through Lithuania to the Klaipeda port will cease to be valid from February this year.

This decision of the government of the Baltic Republic was announced by the head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Transport, Marius Skuodis, reports Railway Supply magazine with reference to RZD-Partner.

“Following the findings of the Coordinating Commission for Ensuring the Protection of Objects of Importance for National Security, the government decided to terminate the agreement on February 1 as not meeting the interests of national security,” the official said.
