Swedish state operator SJ has selected a supplier for 25 regional electric trains.

It will be Spanish CAF. Civersity Nordic trains should be ready to operate at 200 km/h on lines connecting the regions, reports Railway Supply magazine, citing CAF.

In 2025, they should start moving on the routes Stockholm – Vesteros – Erebro – Skövde – Gothenburg, Stockholm – Uppsala, Linkoping – Norrkoping – Stockholm – Arlanda Airport – Uppsala – Gavle – Lusdal and Kalmar – Gothenburg.

This is not the first success for Civersity Nordic in Sweden. Transitio also ordered these trains, but in a hybrid version.
