Scheduled to open in 2026, the new plant will replace the existing facility owned by Siemens since the acquisition of the railway business from Invensys.
Established in 1897, the current plant has been a key supplier of railway automation and telemechanics for Siemens Mobility projects in the UK.
Approximately 800 employees from the current facility will transition to the new plant, which will produce both traditional and digital solutions for the British railway market.
The planned facility will adhere to the highest environmental and labor standards, including modern manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and an office complex.
The goal of the new factory is to improve manufacturing processes, develop innovative solutions, and ensure the safety of train movement on British railway routes.
