ScotRail Carstairs disruption and replacement buses
According to National Rail, engineering works between Carstairs and Kirknewton are causing the disruption. All lines have been closed so the work can be carried out. The affected section is being served by replacement buses rather than trains.
ScotRail said: “Due to engineering work, no trains run between Glasgow Central & Edinburgh via Carstairs today, Friday 17 April.
“Buses will run between Motherwell & West Calder, calling at Wishaw, Carluke & Carstairs.
“Allow extra time as journeys may take longer.”
