Ballast-Free Track

The Pandrol Common Interface has been designed for the future of ballast-free tracks.

As the name suggests, the Common Interface system provides a shared connection point for a range of different direct and indirect fastening systems.

The common base accommodates three different fastenings: FCA, DFC, and Vanguard.

As a result, when noise and vibration reduction requirements vary along the track or change in the future, instead of modifying or replacing the entire track, the fastening system can be simply replaced.

A standard set of components is installed in sleepers or a prefabricated concrete slab to create a common interface for accommodating any Pandrol Common Interface fastening system.
