Railroad Day on Capitol Hill showcase marks 40 years
The Savannah Sunrise commemorates the company’s 40th year of providing rail service. “America’s freight lines have powered our nation’s growth for decades,” said OmniTRAX CEO Colby Tanner. “As we commemorate 40 years of service to communities across the country, it’s fitting to celebrate this milestone in our nation’s capital at the annual event that has shaped decades of public policy for the rail industry.”
The rail car recently completed an inaugural journey to Washington, D.C. Separately, on March 4, it will be showcased during Railroad Day on Capitol Hill, an annual event in which hundreds of freight-rail industry representatives meet with members of Congress and their staff to discuss legislation and public policy, as outlined by ASLRRA.
