25.02.2026
Inland Rail Stockinbingal to Parkes section completion has wrapped up the major construction phase on the Stockingbal to Parkes segment in New South Wales, a key step toward delivering Inland Rail from Beveridge to Parkes by 2027, according to Inland Rail.

Inland Rail Stockinbingal to Parkes section completion: scope and readiness
The finished 170-kilometre stretch is the third of 12 sections of the Inland Rail line now ready for the operation of double-stacked freight trains, as reported by Rail Express. Also, works on this part of the corridor began in September 2023, with Inland Rail partnering with Martinus on upgrades aimed at improving efficiency, capacity and safety along the route.
