The first two Samms-type platforms were delivered to the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia at the Poprad factory.

Kyrgyzstan has approved a railway project involving China and Uzbekistan

These platforms, with a capacity of 103 tonnes, are designed for transporting both old and new heavy military equipment, including the renowned Leopard 2A4 tanks.

Igor Melicher, State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia, emphasized that this agreement opens up opportunities for other EU and NATO member countries to also utilize the new platforms for their military needs under existing cooperation agreements.

This contract was initiated by NATO and the procurement agency NSPA, with whom Tatravagonka collaborates to ensure high quality standards and delivery schedules.

The originally planned delivery of the remaining 11 wagons will also be completed six months ahead of schedule, underscoring the manufacturer’s efficiency.

Samms platforms are versatile and easy to operate: they can be loaded using loading ramps, gantry cranes, and forklifts, making them ideal for various types of transportation.

With a track gauge of 1435 mm and readiness for automatic coupling installation, they represent a universal solution for military transport.

This contract marks a significant step for Tatravagonka in expanding its presence in the international market and reaffirms their reputation as a reliable partner in supplying military and specialized equipment.
