Mumbai Metro Line 5 platform screen doors: Aurionpro enters PSD market
28.01.2026
Aurionpro Solutions Limited has secured the Mumbai Metro Line 5 platform screen doors package under a major multi-year order awarded by Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL), as reported by Rail Analysis and outlined in market coverage from Business Standard.

The contract brings Aurionpro into the safety-critical Platform Screen Door (PSD) segment and adds to its Smart Transit portfolio as India’s metro ecosystem continues to expand.
This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Aurionpro says the engagement sits among the largest multi-million-dollar projects in its smart transit business and will be delivered in consortium with KTK Group Co. Limited (ASK). Under the agreement, Aurionpro will cover the PSD lifecycle—design, supply, commissioning and long-term maintenance—matching the scope set out in the company disclosure published via BSE filings (PDF) and supporting its end-to-end urban transit offering.

In high-traffic corridors—particularly in automated and driverless metro networks—controlled platform access can support passenger flow and reduce operational risks. Aurionpro describes the order as a step into the automatic platform screen door market in India.
Partnership with Titagarh Rail Systems and Mumbai Metro network work
For Aurionpro, the Mumbai Metro Line 5 project is its first collaboration with Titagarh Rail Systems. The company also ties the contract to earlier work in Mumbai’s metro programme, citing previous project wins for Metro Lines 4 and 4A awarded by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). Together, these engagements keep Aurionpro positioned as a technology provider supporting Mumbai’s metro network with scalable, integrated transit solutions aligned with global safety and performance standards.
Smart Transit portfolio expansion and manufacturing base
Shri Sanjay Bali, President, Tech Innovation Group, said Aurionpro is grateful to TRSL for the order and “proud to contribute” to Mumbai’s metro system. He pointed to sustained R&D investment and highlighted state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities at the company’s Ghaziabad facility through AuroToshi, a subsidiary aligned with the Make in India Initiative. He also described the partnership with Titagarh Rail Systems as significant given TRSL’s leadership in railway infrastructure, and noted potential to jointly address larger market opportunities, while congratulating the team on securing the contract and its economic value.
Aurionpro says adding PSD technology strengthens its smart transit capabilities, describing platform screen doors as relevant not only for metro rail, but also for railway and Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) applications. With the Mumbai Metro Line 5 platform screen doors order and a new relationship with TRSL, the company is presenting the move as a milestone in its wider strategy to deliver integrated, future-ready urban mobility solutions across India.
