Midland Station replacement is set to open in Perth on February 22, bringing more modern facilities and better transport connectivity, according to a WA Government media statement.

This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
A section of the Midland Line is under a Midland Line partial closure as final works are completed ahead of the opening. These tasks include connecting the new station into the wider Perth rail network.
New Midland Station Perth: what’s changing
After more than 50 years of operation, the former Midland Station has been demolished. The replacement facility has been built to the east of the previous site and is scheduled to welcome passengers from February 22.

Plans for the upgraded station include a pedestrian overpass linking the north and south sides of the rail corridor, plus a kiosk, passenger toilets, two bike shelters and a new bus interchange, as set out on the METRONET New Midland Station project page.
Midland Line closure Bassendean to Midland: services and buses
During the Midland Line closure Bassendean to Midland, train replacement buses are operating and stopping at all stations between Bassendean and Midland. Trains continue to run between Bassendean and Perth while the works are carried out, with service details provided by Transperth.
Morrison Road level crossing closure and opening-day event
The Morrison Road level crossing closure remains in place for the length of the shutdown, with traffic management arrangements in the area.
To coincide with the opening, a community celebration is planned for 22 February, featuring free sausage sizzles, food trucks, entertainment and music.
Midland MLA Steve Catania said the completion of the new station would open an exciting new chapter for the local community. He thanked residents for their patience during the shutdown and encouraged Midland Line passengers and Morrison Road users to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
