Körfez Ulaştırma receives the first two EuroDual locomotives from Stadler

Körfez Ulaştırma, a subsidiary of Tüpraş, received the first two EuroDual hybrid locomotives from the railway rolling stock company Stadler.

These are the first dual-mode environmentally friendly locomotives in Turkey, informs Railway Supply magazine citing Stadler.
In 2019, Stadler was awarded a contract for the supply of seven dual-mode locomotives to the Turkish rail freight operator Körfez Ulaştırma.

The contract provided for the supply of seven Eurodual Co’Co hybrid locomotives, as well as spare parts for them.
The remaining five locomotives will be delivered in November and December 2021. Upon completion of the delivery, the Körfez Ulaştırma locomotive fleet will consist of 12 locomotives.
