Inland Rail 2026 plans: key milestones across Victoria
19.01.2026
Inland Rail 2026 plans are taking shape in Victoria, with the Beveridge to Albury project team flagging the main works expected next year across several communities, as reported by Rail Express.

This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Inland Rail 2026 plans for the Beveridge to Albury project
The update came from David McGranaghan, Inland Rail’s Beveridge to Albury Delivery Director. He said 2026 would bring bridge openings in Broadford and Wandong, alongside other key milestones in Euroa and Benalla. Construction, he added, will continue and build on what was achieved during 2025, as previously covered by Railway Supply.
Benalla underpass and Euroa Station Precinct upgrades
In Benalla, the community is expected to see real progress on the underpass, which is intended to improve connectivity to the town. McGranaghan also pointed to Victoria construction works planned at the Euroa Station Precinct, including two underpasses, a new station platform, and lift, ramp and stair access, consistent with the project overview on Inland Rail’s Beveridge to Albury page.
Safer crossings as works progress across Victoria
McGranaghan said that as construction is completed at sites across Victoria, the community will see safer, modern infrastructure, more connectivity and safer pedestrian crossings. He noted that Inland Rail has already delivered these improvements in Wangaratta.

“Beveridge to Albury is a significant project within the Inland Rail program, and both the Inland Rail project team and our contractors are extremely excited to be able to deliver these benefits to the community,” he said.
