Alexander Kubrakov announced that one-third of the destroyed railway bridges have been restored in Ukraine within a year

These bridges were damaged during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine’s territory by the Russian Federation. Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Alexander Kubrakov, shared this information on his Facebook page, as reported by Railway Supply magazine.

The Minister participated in the panel discussion “Strengthening Ukraine’s Future: Infrastructure Recovery for Resilience,” held during the Brussels Forum on May 24.

During the conversation with US Senator Cory Booker and President of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, Heather Conley, Alexander Kubrakov emphasized the need for international support to enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities and rebuild the destroyed infrastructure.

“We have already demonstrated to the world that we are capable of rapid recovery even under constant Russian attacks. Within a year, we have restored 130 artificial structures for passage and one-third of all destroyed railway bridges. We are working on the passive protection of substations, and we see the effectiveness of our work,” stated Alexander Kubrakov.

The official highlighted that the ministry is focused on restoring transportation connections with the liberated Ukrainian territories.

Additionally, the ministry continues to develop export logistics, including increasing cargo processing volumes at the Danube ports and developing automobile and railway border infrastructure on the western border.

Alexander Kubrakov informed the partners about specific reconstruction projects implemented by Ukraine in collaboration with international partners and called on the international community to join the large-scale project of Ukraine’s recovery.
