South African company Galison has signed a contract with Lobito Atlantic Railway, a joint venture from Angola, to supply 275 container flatcars, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The rolling stock, along with a set of spare parts, is to be delivered to the customer within 30 months.

The platforms will be produced at the plant in Welkom.

They will be made from high-strength steel, which, according to Galison, will reduce the weight to 13.5 tons.
