The unveiling brought together several transport officials and leaders, according to an Amtrak announcement. The attendees included Ken Altman, Amtrak Vice President of Government Affairs & Corporate Communications. Also present were US Transportation Secretary Sean P. The field trip was to visit well-known American landmarks.
The campaign is intended to highlight the country’s founding ideals. At the same time, it looks toward the future of transportation.
NextGen Acela service on the Northeast Corridor
Alstom designed and built the NextGen Acela in the United States. The train has a top speed of 160 mph. It will begin regular service on the Northeast Corridor. The service will connect Washington, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, and other destinations.
Also, the celebration will extend beyond the Acela train. Amtrak plans to add decals with the America250, Freedom250, and DOT250 logos. The decals will go on 20 additional ALC-42 and ACS-64 locomotives nationwide.
