The Bulgarian manufacturer of shunting locomotives, Express Service OOD, has signed a contract for the delivery of 9 battery locomotives with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Bulgaria, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The contract involves the delivery and technical maintenance of the most popular model of the Bulgarian manufacturer, the ES3000 battery shunting locomotive.

Battery locomotives from Express Service OOD are already the standard for shunting in depots worldwide.

Bulgarian locomotives perform shunting operations on tracks in Australia, China, India, Paris, and London.
