Ukrainian certificate of conformity for Kazakh railway wheels has been withdrawn

The certificate for railway wheels from Kazakhstan was withdrawn by the State Enterprise “Dnipropetrovsk Railway Transport Certification Body” (DOSZT) on November 12, 2020. They canceled the validity of the previously issued certificate of conformity for solid-rolled wheels DSTU GOST 10791: 2016 of Prommashkomplekt LLP (Ekibastuz, Kazakhstan), as Railway Supply magazine reports citing CFTS.

The reason for the cancellation of the certificate of conformity was the fact that the tests of railway wheels of Prommashkomplekt LLP were not carried out in testing laboratories in Ukraine. According to DOSZT, Prommashkomplekt LLP provided the certification body with not entirely correct information about where the tests were carried out.

The issuance of a certificate of conformity for any railway product in Ukraine obliges the manufacturer to carry out tests only in accredited laboratories, it is they who guarantee the safe operation of these products on Ukrainian railways.

Earlier, DOSZT provided Prommashkomplekt LLP with a certificate of conformity for solid-rolled railway wheels until October 29, 2023.
