The Swiss manufacturer reported that the FLIRT H2 train continued to operate for over 46 hours, maintaining an average speed of 60 km/h.

A distinctive feature of the Stadler train is the placement of fuel cells and the hydrogen tank in a separate booster section.

This structural feature, showcased at the InnoTrans 2022 exhibition, confirms Stadler’s advanced technologies in developing environmentally friendly transportation.

Contracts for hydrogen trains have already been signed by Stadler in the USA and Italy, demonstrating interest from various markets in innovative solutions for rail transport.

This record-breaking achievement surpasses previous milestones in this field.

In 2022, the French Alstom train traveled 1175 km without refueling in Germany, and this year, the Spanish CAF reported a train’s autonomous travel distance of 804 km.

Additionally, the Chinese CRRC recently completed trials of its hydrogen train with an autonomous range exceeding 1,000 km.
