The new high-speed train “Afrosiyob” was delivered to Tashkent

In early July a new train manufactured by the Spanish company “Patentes Talgo S.L.U.” was sent from the Spanish city of Bilbao to Tashkent.

The new rolling stock was delivered to St. Petersburg having covered 4,000 km by ferry. After the assembly procedure it was sent by rail to Uzbekistan on July 20, informs Railway Supply magazine referring to the Information and Analytical Media Center Uzbekistan Temir Yullari.
After covering another 4,200 km, on the territory of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan, the valuable cargo was finally delivered to Tashkent in the evening of July 24.
This is the fifth high-speed train of this modification in Uzbekistan. Currently, Uzbekistan is on the list of 20 countries with developed high-speed rail infrastructure and became the only country in Central Asia, which was included in the ranking of “Global High-Speed Train Ranking”.
The official presentation ceremony will take place later, taking into account all the rules and regulations of quarantine measures.
