British company Spinks, a manufacturer of springs and components for the mattress and furniture industry, has secured a research contract worth £250,000, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Technologies for Passenger Train Seats

The contract is signed with the UK Department for Transport and the Innovation Agency of Britain.

The company will explore the feasibility of integrating its adhesive-free EcoSeat pocket-type springs into passenger train seats.
