Stadler will deliver FLIRT trains to Azerbaijan

By the end of the year, Stadler will supply 4 FLIRT trains to Azerbaijan’s national carrier, ADY, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
This announcement was made during a meeting between ADY Chairman Rovshan Rustamov and Stadler CEO Peter Spuhler.
Development of Railway Infrastructure in Kazakhstan
The contract for 10 such trains was signed in 2019, with the remaining 6 units scheduled for delivery next year.
Originally planned for production in the Belarusian facility in Fanipol, it was relocated to Siedlce, Poland, amid sanctions last fall.
Additionally, Stadler has entered into an agreement with ADY to establish a service center in the country for maintaining all types of rolling stock supplied by the company to Azerbaijan.
