Vossloh France Acquired the Largest Sleeper Manufacturer in Europe for €450 Million

The project aims to create a new metro line between the western districts of Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.

If successfully implemented, Siemens Mobility plans to install a radio-based train control system (CBTC) with GoA4 automation level.

STCP is one of two consortia working on behalf of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

The projects aim to improve transportation connectivity in the specified corridor.

The proposed metro line will reduce travel time between endpoints to 20 minutes.

Currently, transportation between the city’s western districts and the San Fernando Valley is complicated by a mountain range separating these areas.

In addition to STCP, an alternative project is being developed by the LA SkyRail Express consortium.

They propose building a monorail line in the same transportation corridor. This option also aims to improve transportation infrastructure and reduce travel time.

The automated metro project in Los Angeles represents an important step towards modernizing the city’s transportation system.

Stadler and Siemens Mobility will significantly contribute to the implementation of this initiative. Their cooperation and innovative solutions will help create a more efficient and convenient transportation network for city residents.
