Siemens Mobility strengthens its position in the Eastern European railway transport market through the acquisition of the Slovak company HMH, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Siemens has acquired the Slovak rail device manufacturer HMH

The acquisition includes the MIREL VZ1 system, compliant with European standards, ensuring seamless integration into the on-board devices of the ETCS train control system.

The purchase of HMH, founded in 1993 and specializing in train control systems, encompasses 77 employees who will continue their operations in the Bratislava office after integration into Siemens Mobility.

This merger not only expands Siemens Mobility’s technological capabilities but also underscores the strategic importance of the Eastern European market in the development of modern railway control systems.
