Kabul, Astana, and Ashgabat plan to build a logistics center in western Afghanistan

This will enable the company to meet the growing demand for servicing regional electric trains.

Starting in 2024, the construction of a new workshop covering an area of 12,300 square meters is planned, equipped to service trains up to 400 meters long. It will house warehouses, office spaces, and workshops.

Siemens Mobility’s depot in Dortmund, opened in 2018, is one of the most modern in Europe. Advanced technologies such as Railigent X, 3D printing, and automated maintenance tools are utilized here.

By 2026, it is projected that the depot’s staff will increase by 250 people. Digitizing all processes in the depot allows for the optimization of train operation and maintenance, increasing their readiness to 100%.

Workers receive tasks on personal tablets, and train condition data is transmitted to the Railigent X system for precise failure prediction and maintenance recommendations.

The depot features a unique automatic inspection facility for the undercarriage of wagons in Germany, which monitors the condition of wheels and wheel axles, sending data to the Railigent X system.

The transition to fully automated visual inspection using machine vision and artificial intelligence technologies is planned.
