The Gliwice police received a report about a “strangely behaving parcel”. The parcel, which was going from Silesia to Szczecin, which was supposed to contain electronics, suddenly stirred and even hissed. Investigators from the 3rd police department were sent to the place, and the check began. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Nakolei.

Python

The sender of the parcel, a 40-year-old woman, was called to the scene. The package was opened in her presence. Inside was a non-venomous snake – a royal python. The animal was frightened, but did not cause any problems during the intervention. Why was the reptile in the package? The woman had to look for a new home for the python because of the safety of the children. She sent the reptile to the new owner by train.

The volume of loading into gondola cars decreased by 15% in December

After a long search, the police came to a man who breeds snakes, who at the time of the proceedings said that he would take care of the animal.

The Economic Crime Unit will now conduct proceedings for violating animal transport regulations. It will also be checked whether the snake was legally bred and whether the conditions for sending it were a form of animal cruelty.
