The volume of loading into gondola cars decreased by 15% in December

For 25 days in December, the average daily loading into gondola cars amounted to 2,355 wagons, which is 15.3% less than last month. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Rail.insider.

The main share in the structure of the volume of loading into wagons is occupied by coal (42.7%), iron and manganese ore (21.4%), as well as construction cargo (9.5%).

It should be noted that the share of grain loading in gondola cars is growing. If in November it was 4.2%, then in 25 days of December it increased to 5.8%.

Mostly loading of grain into gondola cars is carried out in private rolling stock of Ukrainian owners (94.1%).
