Rail freight traffic between Kazakhstan and China increased by 5%
The volume of freight traffic by railway transport between Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China increased by 5% compared to January-July last year and reached 12.7 million tons.
It is noted that one of the prerequisites for increasing traffic between the PRC and Kazakhstan is the containerization of goods, including bulk cargo of mining and metallurgical enterprises and grain, as well as the creation of favorable tariff conditions, informs Railway Supply magazine referring to KTZ.
As previously reported, China and Kazakhstan agreed to increase the volume of freight traffic between the countries by 16%.
