On October 26, a presentation of modern subway cars, which arrived the other day, took place at the Tashkent-Central railway station. The delivery of the third batch of subway cars was finalized by JSC Uzbekistan Temir Yullari, which completed its obligations to the Tashkent Metro.

5 four-car metro trains will be formed of the 20 railcars that arrived. It should be noted that with the arrival of a new batch of rolling stock of this modification, the number of modern trains of the Tashkent metro will be equal to 15 units (60 railcars), informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to Uzbekistan Temir Yullari.

In 2019 the first batch of 20 subway cars arrived in Tashkent. In August of this year, JSC Metrovagonmash sent 20 more subway cars to Uzbekistan.

All subway cars are designed taking into account the peculiarity of the Tashkent metro. In general, Tashkent Metro and Metrovagonmash have been cooperating since the metro was established in the capital in 1977.

The contract for the production of 40 metro cars of JSC Metrovagonmash and UE Tashkent Metro was signed in April this year. Sources of financing are loans from the State Corporation “Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs” (SC VEB RF) and the Russian Export-Import Bank (JSC “ROSEXIMBANK”).
