Pol-Miedź Trans received the first 23 flat wagons. Polish-made platforms were purchased under a contract signed with INFRACERT TSI Spółka z oo for the supply of a total of 100 wagons for intermodal transport.

The investment was made within the framework of a project called “Purchase of new platform cars and locomotives for the carriage of goods in intermodal transport.” The contracts for the wagons were signed with co-financing from European funds, reports Railway Supply  magazine citing Nakolei Pl.

The initial condition of the project is the need to diversify the transport services offered by the company and respond to market needs. The implementation of the project should lead to an increase in competitiveness in the railway transportation market, which will positively affect the financial results of the Company due to new sources of income.

Russian Railways will receive 125 universal railway platforms

The project envisages the acquisition of a new specialized rolling stock for intermodal transport, consisting of 31 flat cars, 60 ‘Sgnss and 69 Sggrss 80 series flat cars.

The acquisition of intermodal rolling stock implements the company’s development strategy and increases its attractiveness in the freight transport market. The completion of the supply of wagons and locomotives under the project is scheduled for the second half of 2022.
