Interpipe increased the production of wheelsets by 39%

In January-July 2021, the Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe increased the production of wheelsets by 39.3% to 13.2 thousand tons, comparing to the same period last year.

At the same time, according to the report on operations for July, for 7 months of this year Interpipe increased sales of wheelsets by 17.9% to 14.2 thousand tons, report Railway Supply magazine citing the manufacturer.

In July-21, Interpipe increased its production of railway products by 10.4% to 15.5 thousand tons compared to June. In particular, the output of railroad wheels over the past month increased by 9.3%, to 12.9 thousand tons, wheelsets – by 9.3%, up to 2.0 thousand tons, railway axles – by 1%, up to 0.4 thousand tons, tires – 2.7 times, up to 0.3 thousand tons

As a reminder, the Ukrainian manufacturer supplied to India locomotive and passenger wheels designed specifically for Indian Railways in accordance with the operating conditions in this country.

In addition, the first deliveries of railway wheels to Mauritania were carried out, where Interpipe signed a 3-year contract with the State Railways of Mauritania (Société Nationale Industrielle et Minière) for the supply of locomotive wheels with a diameter of 1,076 mm according to the AAR standard.
