Heavy snow disrupted UK rail communication
13.12.2022
Rail passengers have experienced disruptions to their journey this morning due to heavy snowfall in London, the South East and East Anglia. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to RailUK.
Further disruptions are expected as Network Rail teams do their best to clear the railroad of snow and ice so train operators can work safely in inclement weather. Hundreds of staff armed with specialist kit will defrost frozen points and signals, and trains with snow ploughs will be used to clear tracks where needed.
