In January 2021, 5 cases of vandalism were recorded in the regional branch of the South-Western Railway JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. 8 railway cars were damaged. The coloring of the railcars was repeatedly revealed by locomotive crews at the Teterev station, while servicing suburban routes to Kiev. A similar case was recorded at the Stugna stopping platform.

It is worth noting that, in addition to direct losses caused by hooligans, railway workers have to spend a lot of time and effort to eliminate intentional damage and withdraw rolling stock from operation for the recovery period. This exacerbates the problem of adequate provision of commuter passenger services.

During 2020, there were 70 cases of damage, dismantling and painting in the form of graffiti. Losses to the railway were incurred in the amount of UAH 3.9 million.
