Croatian ports on the Adriatic coast can provide an alternative route for transporting grain from Ukraine. Ports on the Black and Azov Seas remain blocked as a result of Russian aggression.

Transportation of Ukrainian grain

This was stated by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia Andreja Metelko Zgombić, Railway Supply magazine reports with reference to ports.ua.

The official took part in a meeting of the EU General Affairs Council, which discussed food security and energy.

“During the discussion, I drew attention to the fact that Croatian ports on the Adriatic are accessible and can be an efficient and short route to North Africa,” she said.

As previously reported, it is planned to transport Ukrainian grain for export around the world.
