As reported by ET Infra, the company said on Friday that East Coast Railway, a zone of Indian Railways, issued a letter of acceptance for the work. Also, the contract is valued at ₹66.96 crore. In addition, the company said the project is scheduled for completion within 24 months, according to an NSE filing.

The work will be carried out on the main line under the Khurda Road division. Meanwhile, it includes the construction of a road over bridge at km 629/11–13. At the same time, that structure will replace the existing level crossing located between km 629/9–11.

Bridge design and level crossing replacement

The structure will consist of several spans built with composite girders and T-beam girders. For example, it will include one 36-metre composite girder span and two 24-metre composite girder spans. Separately, it will also include four 18.75-metre T-beam girder spans and two 32-metre T-beam girder spans. Still, the overall purpose remains unchanged.

Once completed, the road over bridge between Icchapuram and Jhadupudi will replace the current level crossing. Also, it will allow road traffic to pass over the railway line without intersecting with train movement.
