British Steel has been awarded a contract to supply rails to Belgium

Infrabel, the railway infrastructure operator in Belgium, has signed a four-year agreement with British Steel for the delivery of 40,000 tons of high-quality railway rails of various profiles for track maintenance and reconstruction, according to the railway portal Railway Supply.
The rail supply will commence in June 2023.
The 100-meter-long rails will be manufactured at the British Steel plant in Scunthorpe, located in northeastern England, and then delivered to the rail welding station of Infrabel in Belgium by rail.

In addition, in March 2023, British Steel received a large order for the supply of 244,000 steel sleepers to West Africa.
