A Joint Railway Enterprise Formed by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Georgia – Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd.

On October 26, JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy,” JSC “Georgian Railway,” and CJSC “Azerbaijan Railways” signed an agreement to establish a joint enterprise on an equal basis, this is reported by the railway transport news portal, Railway Supply.
The document was signed at the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum.

It is noted that the railways of the three countries have joined forces to develop a multimodal service on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
The new company, Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd., will be established based in the International Financial Center “Astana.”
In their collaborative efforts, the company will provide one-stop services, guarantee delivery schedules, and implement a coordinated policy for the development of multimodal services in the China-Europe/Turkey-China direction.
As reported earlier, the railways of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia will promote the transportation of goods along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
