Dubai awards metro expansion contracts

As it became known, representatives of the Pesa company held several meetings in Indonesia on cooperation with the local market. Local media are already writing about the Polish manufacturer. The Polish company is most interested in the delivery of urban and suburban trains, as well as trams. It is worth recalling that Pesa recently signed a contract to supply diesel trains to Ghana in West Africa.

Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world. Its railway network is 6.6 thousand km (narrow gauge), located mainly on Jawa. The rolling stock is largely worn out and the lines are 90% non-electrified. To reduce huge traffic jams, the Indonesian government is investing tens of billions of dollars in the railway. In cooperation with China, the first high-speed rail line is being built. The joint venture was established there three years ago by Stadler.
