Varanasi–Chheharta Vande Bharat Sleeper Set for Flag-Off

India’s second Sleeper Vande Bharat Express Varanasi–Chheharta will operate between Varanasi and Chheharta in Amritsar as the Sant Ravidas Express. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off the train from Jalandhar by video conference on July 17 and inaugurate the city’s new railway station the same day.

Sant Ravidas Express schedule
The Railways has released the timetable for the service, which will run three times a week in each direction under train numbers 14624 and 14623.
Train 14624 will leave Chheharta at 2:05 PM every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. It will arrive in Amritsar at 2:25 PM, make a five-minute stop and continue to Lucknow, where it is scheduled to arrive at 7:30 AM the following day. The service will reach Varanasi at 12:15 PM.
In the other direction, train 14623 will depart Varanasi at 7:05 PM every Thursday, Saturday and Monday. It is scheduled to reach Lucknow at 12:10 AM, Amritsar at 4:35 PM the next day and Chheharta at 5:10 PM.

Route, station stops and maintenance
The Sant Ravidas Express will call at Jaunpur City, Sultanpur, Lucknow, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar City and Amritsar.
The train’s primary maintenance will be carried out at Chheharta station.
