07.02.2024
The USAID project “Economic Support for Ukraine” acquired 85 grain wagons for Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), one of the largest exporters of Ukrainian grains and oilseeds among foreign companies, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The first 20 wagons have already been delivered to one of the company’s elevators.

LDC expects that the use of additional wagons will increase grain exports by 110,000 tons annually.
Additionally, LDC will be able to expand its geographical operations and ship grain from regions of Ukraine where it was previously not possible.
The wagons from the USAID project will help the company improve the competitiveness of its procurement conditions, ultimately benefiting local farmers.
Louis Dreyfus owns a total of 660 wagons, some of which are located in temporarily occupied territories since the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022.
The company exports grain to countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe.
As previously reported, Nibulon received 50 hopper wagons thanks to USAID assistance.
