This weekend, evacuation wagons with new medical equipment will go on their first trip.

UZ will launch evacuation railcars

This was reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the press service of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.

The international organization Doctors Without Borders helped Ukrzaliznytsia to equip three new wagons for the evacuation of civilian wounded, sick and pregnant women from under the line of fire.

These wagons are equipped with defibrillators, ultrasound and other modern equipment, as well as full-fledged wards and a full range of necessary medicines.

In addition, UZ received 650 kg of high-quality medicines and medical supplies from partners.

“Belgian doctors handed over to Ukrainian railway workers: disinfectors, blood pressure monitors, stethoscopes, thermal blankets, splints and surgical instruments for first aid,” Ukrzaliznytsia noted and added that they were already equipping trips.

The website of the international organization also contains vacancies for doctors to work on evacuation trains in Ukraine.

In addition, the organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross announced the delivery of 250 trolleys for the transportation of people with disabilities.

As previously reported, Doctors Without Borders, together with UZ, organized a train to evacuate the wounded.
