On December 17, Ukrzaliznytsia signed a contract with Okko-Snab LLC for the supply of 20 thousand tons of diesel fuel until March 31, 2022, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to ProZorro.

Ukrzaliznytsia received UAH 1.4 billion of loss in six months

The deal was valued at UAH 601 million. The purchase took place within the framework of separate tenders, and not a framework agreement that was concluded in the summer.

There were three such tenders in total, for two of them contracts with the bidders have not yet been concluded.

In addition to OKKO Snab, the winners were Alliance Energo Trade and Anvitrade. All three companies offered to supply 20 thousand tons of fuel each at an estimated price of UAH 30,050 / t.

As a reminder, on July 1, Ukrzaliznytsia entered into a framework agreement for UAH 5.3 billion for the supply of 200 thousand tons of fuel. The framework deal provides for simplified procurement with participants as needed.

Purchases are made within the stated limits. In this case – up to UAH 5.3 billion and 200 thousand tons. The term of the agreement is until March 30, 2022.

At the same time, in September, the Anti-Crisis Headquarters of UZ said that due to the specifics of fuel pricing in the framework agreement under which Ukrzaliznytsia purchases fuel, the company had two fuel crises in 2021.

Their price is tied to European indices, but they do not always correspond to the situation in Ukraine and it is not always profitable for suppliers to supply UZ fuel.

In such cases, they begin to supply fuel to the Carrier on a leftover basis.
