The double-decker train is planned to be launched on the route by the end of the year. This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Oleg Vasiliev blog post on Facebook.

According to him, in July 2021, double-deck cars of the Škoda EJ675 electric trains were delivered to KEVRZ for overhaul. The company repaired bodies, trolleys, pantographs, air conditioners and other equipment.

According to Railinsider, it was necessary to revise and repair the motor bogies. However, such work could only be performed at the Škoda Transportation manufacturing plant. So the bogies went to the Czech Republic.

Now the freshly painted train is actually ready to enter the route. “UZ Passenger Company previously reported that the first train will come out of repair in December 2021 and will go on the Kiev-Ternopil route,” wrote Oleg Vasiliev. According to the Instagram community ursc_ukraine, the train will be temporarily relocated to the technical passenger station Darnitsa.

Škoda trains were delivered to Ukrzaliznytsia in 2012 in preparation for the European Football Championship final. The story with their overhaul dragged on for about three years.
