Alstom’s technological center in Madrid will lead the development of the Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) system, which will automate train control processes on the new monorail in the Dominican Republic.

The new monorail, located in the Dominican city of Santiago de los Caballeros, will have a total of 14 stations along a 13-kilometer route and will be able to transport up to 20,000 passengers per hour in one direction, directly benefiting over half a million citizens.
