“Ukrainian Railways: Development and Investments” conference in Kyiv
The specialized industry forum – V International Conference “Ukrainian Railways: Development and Investments” – will be held in Kyiv on February 25. Experts will discuss the issues of reforming Ukrzaliznytsia and the prospects for European integration of the domestic transport system, possible ways of attracting investments and state support, reports railway magazine Railway Supply with a link to the forum website.

The second session of the conference will be devoted to the transformation of freight traffic, the conduct of the wagon business in the context of low rental rates. In addition, the participants will consider the topics of the effectiveness of “long contracts” for transportation.
A separate session will be devoted to the development of the transport network and container terminals. In particular, it is planned to present the project of the East-West Gate intermodal terminal on the Ukraine-Hungary border, as well as to increase the efficiency of ports and intermodal terminals with OCR technology from Camco Technologies
Attention will also be paid to the formation of the future tariff for access to railway infrastructure and the implementation of a pilot project on the access of private traction to main lines.
The main audience of the conference is state and private carriers, operators of railway rolling stock, freight forwarders and logisticians, shippers, government regulators.
